About me: In 2000 and 2004, I headed up expeditionary teams to Florida to assist local "get out the vote" efforts to aid the Bush campaign. In 2002, I served a similar role in Louisiana. Like many of you, I've walked hundreds of miles, stuffed hundreds of envelopes and dialed thousands of phone numbers for the causes and candidates in which I believe. Until May of 2007, I didn't have a presidential candidate to support. Over the month of May, I decided to look closely at Fred Thompson. In a manner of weeks, I became convinced, in my heart of hearts, that Fred Thompson needed to be the next President of the United States. Prior to the 2008 election, I had NEVER taken an active role in a primary campaign for president--not for Bush I, not for Dole and not for Bush II. The campaign for Fred Thompson was the first and only time for me to get involved at that level. Ken's Favorite quote :
